Not all Units of the 63 hour course will be weighed equally on the test. Knowing this, you should focus your study efforts based on the weight of the chapter on the test. According to the Candidate Information Book, the 100-question Sales Associate test is weighted as follows:
Unit 1 - 1% - The Real Estate Business
Unit 2 - 6% - License Law and Qualifications
Unit 3 - 2% - Real Estate License Law and Commission Rules
Unit 4 - 7% - Authorized Relationships, Duties & Disclosures
Unit 5 - 12% - Real Estate Brokerage Activities & Procedures
Unit 6 - 2% - Violations of License Law, Penalties & Procedures
Unit 7 - 4% - Federal and State Laws Pertaining to Real Estate
Unit 8 - 8% - Property Rights: Estates, Tenancies, Condos, HOAs, etc
Unit 9 - 7% - Titles, Deeds and Ownership Restrictions
Unit 10 - 5% - Legal Descriptions
Unit 11 - 12% - Real Estate Contracts
Unit 12 - 9% - Residential Mortgages
Unit 13 - 4% - Types of Mortgages and Sources of Financing
Unit 14 - 6% - Real Estate Related Computations & Closing of Transactions
Unit 15 - 1% - Real Estate Markets and Analysis
Unit 16 - 8% - Real Estate Appraisal
Unit 17 - 2% - Real Estate Investment and Business Opportunity Brokerage
Unit 18 - 3% - Taxes Affecting Real Estate
Unit 19 - 1% - Planning and Zoning
With this information in mind, the greatest emphasis in studying should be placed on Units 5 (Brokerage Activities and Procedures) and 11 (Contracts).  Next, Unit 9 (Residential Mortgages) has the next heavily weighted content.
